Underground Personal Claims

Are there any special restrictions or considerations for underground claims? Is there a way to extend a claim downward multiple levels, or do you need to set each claim individually? Are there any other special rules like the inability to claim land underneath someone else's claim etc.

Use a village claim, that is cheaper and spreads down through mineholes.
