Cupboard decay

Long time no play. Now I see cupboards may be grabbed even if they have contents inside so... do cupboards decay inside caves? If so, how fast?

What do you base this on? Has he said anything about this? I need to know, I live in a cave. Sudden cave decay would destroy everything I own.

Nothing is set in stone. If you base your play style around a certain mechanic, be prepared for that mechanic to get changed at some point.

On the other hand, having your cupboards inside a building as they should be and that building on a claim would guarantee protection whether in a cave or not.

It would also limit my space to a couple tiles, defeating the entire point of living in a cave.

well if you think about it (in real life), stuff decays outside by being pummeled by the elements. in a cave it should be relatively safe from this (and only having to flush decay over 1 world map instead of 6 is a nice side-effect:p), so i see this as intended.
