Shooting from boat

When I shoot from boat with bow. Sometimes I hit but sometimes arrow wont even go off the bow, animation just plays and arrow disappears.
Is there some catch or is it just luck?

I think its about angles how you are related with tiles.

Slings work in boats, so boar hunting from a boat at least is technically possible, although with ththe sling's low damage you'll need a lot of punches

From what i've experienced, shooting south to north works while in a boat (bow and arrow). Perhaps try shooting east to west or in any direct compass direction. Diagonals may be the problem.
