I just want to know why ice spikes are so powerful

Lets say its mid-end game, you have no shortage of curios and your study boxs shows 120k lp then its done. Normally lets say its done in 1 day. So makes 120k lp per day. But when you crack one of those ice spikes, it instantly studies all those 1 day worth of curios. And it has no cooldowns, So it turns 120klp per day to "howmanyicespikesdoyouhave" per day.

You dont have to use standard study.
You just try to make as much lp per slot as you can. No matter what duration curios are. And you can get MASSIVE amount of LP in 1 minute if you have enough ice.

They really aren't but I understand how you feel, I was just as skeptical about them at first as many others. They take a terribly long time to regenerate and the only abuse/exploitation of them so far has been during the beginning when all the resources started full. I had one claimed on the second or third day that someone else ended up getting to first and I still have yet to receive even one ageless ice from it.

They are pretty good though, you could just stuff your study with high LP but otherwise super shitty curios like cornucopias for a quick LP injection

They should add brain freze debuff. That does something to your int temporaily. Like wound.

I'd like to add that I havn't gotten a single ageless ice on my ice spike claim since day 3 as well. The respawn time must be very slow.

Devs talked something about global respawn or something.
So if one spawns in your ice spike, somone else might take it from other icespike.
So somone is probably botting it and no one else gets any-

Not how it works. Essentially there is a global respawn pool, say it respawns 40 a week. Say there are 40 nodes total in the world. Each node gets 1 icicle. You cannot take the icicle from anyone else without directly taking it from their node. It's not evenly distributed like that because the respawn is probably like 30 and there are probably closer to 90 nodes (just a made up number) so every week 30/90 nodes get filled until all 90 nodes have gotten at least 1.

None of these times or quantities are real mind you.
