Is there still a limit to mining close to a cave entrance?

in w8 there was and loftar said they fixed the cave entrances that were without walls around them

they have something like a 5 tile range, idk if cave ins can happen around them but that would be pretty harsh if you can't mine out fallen walls near the entrance

I can confirm. Recently checked walls to get the first mineable tile to build a palisade around an entrance.
