Can they be used in the same way like in Legacy, or are they just used to tame animals?

Feeding clovers to wild mouflon/auroch allows you to sheer/milk them.

Clovers also allow you to ride horses.

they also count for .5l of food. same for most foragibles like dandelions

good for if you start taming animals before you have a steady farm
