Eat ancient roots or use stitch in it.
It takes 1 day to heal 1 point of it so good luck

Stitch patch (requires cloth and metal nugget IIRC) or ancient roots from a special tree.

I'd personally trade for the roots, otherwise you'll be gimp'd for months.

Hi, the only thing that can heal wretched gore is the stitch patch which requires the following materials which you need to have discovered first;
Cloth x1, String x2, Bone Glue x2 and a nugget of any Metal x1.

Included link to wiki page;

Edit;
Ninja'd by shubla but posting for the link, also, yeah the ancient root, but good luck getting one of them! :)

Worth noting that a higher quality patch heals faster, and given it comes with a significant debuff it's a good idea to make it as high quality as you can.

it might be faster to just kill your hearthling and take the 60% stat hit

Just depends on how severe it is. if you're talking a 50 pt gore vs a 300+ CON character, it's less than 10% of your max health.
