2 mine questions

1) Sometimes when you mine a tile, it opens up a whole line of tiles randomly. Happened with mine support. Is this dangerous and inevitable?

2) I hear building a mine hole in base is bad, but can you claim underground and build walls down there? Isn't this the same as defending your base in the wild?

Building mine hole in base is bad because people can then get straight into your base from underground, except if you build wall around it.
If you build wall around it its okay.

The first thing was reported as a bug but Loftar sadly didn't get the difference between filling up space and emptying it.

it's that people often think that a cave is all theirs and doesn't put any defense around the hole or in the hole

then people mine into your cave and come out the cave hole into your base with no defense/walls to stop it. just consider it a door that you don't know what's on the other side. and think someone will always attempt to rob you by mining into your base from a different location. or that someone is waiting at the doorway ready to attack you.


and your first question is no harm only annoyance. it's called a gallery afaik. had two open up in a vein of ore
