Are there currents in Hafen?

you know when you fish out garbage or when you find bottles on the beach.
do the items from other players *nearby* spawn there or is there a current system in place?

so to say if someone drops his stuff at a river leading south and the current flows south, it will end up somewhere at a beach or the water down that river?

As far as I read in another topic, the answer of the dev was somewhere along the lines of :

"Stuff dropped in the water is added to a global ''pool'' of which you have a chance of getting an item while fishing''

considering the vast empty spaces in world 8, it's probably not based on surrounding area.

Stuff you throw in water can be fished up or washed ashore anywhere in the world. I know that for sure.
