mouflon taming

I've leashed a second mouflon to my hitching post, the other died while i tried taming it. 24 hours, maybe more, passed and the mouflon is now vanished. Do i need to try to beat him right after he gets the taming stance or he should stay hitched indefinitely?

only one animal can be hitched at a time, they disappear (despawn) if not hitched

make sure you peace the animal by clicking the small circle top right next to their icon. their threshold for taming is low so try to only use punches

If you miss the taming window you need to rehitch it.
