What does charisma do?

I figured I'd ask since mine's about 5, 10 levels higher than my other stats. I feel like I should get a bigger butt, or bigger boobs, or at least a bit taller for it.

But, no, srsly, what does it do?

It determines Travel Weariness/possible travel distance with Charter Stones. And I'm not sure if it's still the case, but it used to affect village authority gain.
