How hunt with sling?

I have sling q 6.3 and marksmanship and 9 but every animal I try to kill from boat is runing from me when i hit them. What I need to do to prevent that? And if I kill them on water they are disappearing (drowning i water)?

first: in order to stop them from running you need to block them off with other boats. have someone come over with them and block them or just go looking for them after they run. Second: no they will not "drown" or disappear if you kill them in water.

Actually, rabbits do disappear if you kill them in the water. I suspect that's because their bodies drop as items and not as liftables.

Hm. That would explain how I found a q 11.5 dead bat in the water...
