Question to jorbtar on nidbanes

Postby overtyped » Sat Mar 12, 2016 10:09 am

"Nidbanes now wait until they've seen their target taking an action (walking, or whatever) before they attack."

Does putting a curio in your study or putting on crim acts/tracking fall under the " or whatever"? or autostudying while leaving pc on overnight?
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

According to Loftar, only actions that take time will trigger Nidbanes. Auto studying will not trigger.
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

You can 100% auto study, just tried it.

After 24h it'll attack you automatically.

And in case you are not there to defend your character, it'll die.

No, but thanks for the suggestion. Will consider.
