Can Take Aim get Combat DIscoveries?

I thought i saw a stream/video where a guy was using Take Aim against a fleeing bat to get combat discoveries, does this work?

Could i aggro some Ants and just keep using Take Aim to get discoveries?

If you have sufficient ip and the correct item equipped, you can get the discovery.

Yes, you can have a deck of only take aim, and reset the fight vs a fleeing animal every so often or when you discover a move.

They use take aim only cause they are trying to find moves on a fleeing animal, so an animal that cant harm and who you dont want to hurt.
A ant dont flee, so dont try it on ants.
For other animals, use a normal desk, hit until fleeing, cancel combat, than you can chose the take aim only desk.
