How do i make the Kiln work

I just got into this game, i made the Kiln, i putted the Unfired Treeplant pot and filled the Kiln with many branches. It's full. But how do i make this thing to start the fire, i leaved the game there for about an our, and it haven't burned. The tutorials and wiki say that i need to click with the right button and press fire, but it only make the thing's inventory to open. What i need to do?

Adventure menu -> Firebrand, then right click the kiln.

Just like lighting a firecamp, and every other lightable structures actually ;)

That "fire" menu was in Legacy iirc.

When looking at the RoB wiki, check to make sure that the page is current. Old pages for legacy Haven will (should) have a notice at the top saying this page may hove outdated information and will actually be titled "Legacy:...."

Thanks, i actually found that out by myself. But thank you... But if you could tell me how do i get seeds, it would be really helpful. It says that i can pick up Spindly Taproot to make strings, but it seems i'm not able to or is just something random on the floor.

Yes it is more or less random. The more perception * eploration score you have, the more forageable you can find on the map. Keep in mind diffrent biomes = different forageable.

You need to raise a bit of exploration to see the forageable strings more easily. 2/3 points are enough at the start. You will mostly find them in forest biome.

Seeds to farm are another story, you need to find Wild windsown weeds (forageable) and dry them on drying racks. After 16h you will have a few seeds of a type. The seeds you can find are random, but can be different from cell to cell (the squares on your map)
