Player 2 Player Teleportation

My friend and I are just starting out and we want to build a setup together. Is there any way we could ensure we spawn in the same area? I remember in the last world there was a teleport to hearth feature which allowed you to start w/ your pals, but I'm not sure if this is still possible.

Theres a thing you can build called wilderness beacon, takes stone,clay,boards and blocks. You light it and set a password on it, your friend has to enter that password on the skullpole in the character creation room.
