How to fight bats.

I wan't any guide or explanation on how to fight bats effectively even on low stats. Theese are a real headache when you explore caves with 5 ua. So recently i read at the wiki that you can easily shoot them off with low m-ship. I have 7 m-ship and just crafted the bow and some bone arrows. I crawled to the bat at ~3 tiles, loaded an arrow and shot. First time i missed, second time i hit. I couldn't see how much damage i dealt, but the bat was still alive and started fighting with me. I don't know how to fight in w9, so i basically just spammed punch and sidestep, so was KO'ed really fast. How to fight bats?

Get more melee combat and use parry, or get better perception/bow/marksmanship/arrows and shoot it, those are the easiest ways

Yeah, i didn't understand a thing. So you just sidestep-quickdodge and chop\punch? How much stats do i need do kill damn bat.

I start to kill bats at 20 UA/AGI. It is very easy at 30. You can probably do it less than 20 if you are less bad than I am. Use the defenses that are not jump (sidestep and quick dodge maybe they can be called? The starting ones.) and use punch.

You need some armor, leather one low quality should be enough if you have pants + chest armor. Then like 25 agility after the debuff from armor and about 20 uac. All you do is use yellow defence(jump) becouse bats high-dmg attack is yellow and punch the bat, when it has no defence against yellow/green you just chop them.

I do not think you need armor and weapons to slay the bat.

If your stats aren't sufficient, it should only take a day or two to get the necessary levels. I fight bats without armor all the time, you're doing something wrong if you need armor.

Well, it hits like good over 100 dmg with his yellow color hit, according to your tactic that says not to use jump you would be down really fast.

With armor its just 10 times easier, they deal 0dmg to armor when they hit you with green/blue, you can just spam jump & punch and get 0 dmg
