found a tamed horse and take her home, and she doesn't eat.

Postby newsiri » Fri Apr 22, 2016 3:20 pm

I found 2 tamed horses yesterday, one is male and the other is female.

so I take them to my village and lock them in the fence, of course I brought a trough filled with food. there is no problem in the range of the trough.

but the male one seems to eat, but female one doesn't seem to eat. her wellfedness is half now.

what did I do wrong? or is it bug or something?

Horse anorexia is a very serious problem.

I had a similar issue. found a tamed horse, brought her to my claim, made a trough, put some food in it, and the horse died maybe 30 mins later without eating anything.

Horses don't take being abandoned very well.

There seems to be a bug where horses seem like they stop eating, have had to toss out a few of them.

Would love to know what causes it, in that case.

possibly a related bug:

if you ride a horse who was hitched to a post, the hitching post will still be "occupied".

to unoccupy the hitching post, u have to rope your horse, then drop the rope. then it becomes available.

i wonder if this problem with the hitching posts is also related to horses starving.

Looked at this. Actually, what you are seeing with this is that, if you ride a horse, and then stop riding within range of the pole, the horse is automatically rehitched. Working as intended.

No real clue about OP's problem, doe.
