being haunted, need help

I'm being haunted by a ghost. Earlier I was fishing at a strange lake and I fished up a "bloody mess" just before my line broke. It was very strange. When I went back to my cabin, I found a bunch of dead chickens on the ground, as well as a dead fox. Soon after, I was randomly attacked by a badger who almost killed me. I still have the bloody mess in my inventory, is there some ritual I can perform to get rid of this curse? Is there anyway I can make spiritual contact with this ghost and make peace with it? Please help!

You are purely speculating. In my professional opinion it seems likely an exorcist of some sort will be necessary to remove the spectre from this man and his land.
