How to capture boar?

I read somewhere on the forums that you could lure a boar and tie it with a rope so you could bring it somewhere to trap it. However, I cannot seem to do this. Is there a specific order of using the clover and rope or...?

You must use the clover and have it eat this cover. Then you may tie the rope around it.
