Bear cape 0% chance?

So Im a little confused. When I go to guild a bear cape with metal buttons, it says theres a 0% chance. Why is this if bear capes are supposedly 0-32%?

Metal buttons are sweing? It says they are smithing and unarmed. I mistakenly thought the icon was str. But where are you getting metal buttons are sewing. And if you know. What item should I guild onto a bear cape for str and a high chance at a new slot?

The icon by the chance is what matters for extra slots. This is sewing for the metal button. The smithing and UA are the bonus it gives. This is not mattering for extra slot.
You will want icon which matches bear cape icon for higher chance. So I think probably bear tooth if the bear cape is strength icon.

If the gilding and item have a matching affinity, then the percentage chance is scaled between the product of the low% and high% on the item and gilding. The scaling is based on your skill in whatever the affinity is, but it's not exactly clear yet how the scaling works. Our first guess was SQRT(skill/330) but we know that's not quite correct.

If there's no matching affinity, then you get the product of the low%s. For the bear cloak, the low% is 0, so the product is 0%. If you want to get an additional slot, you will need to match either strength or survival, which gives you several possibilities.
