It will show the resfile of object (most likely a standard custom client feature) and is it's for example "gneiss3" that means its largest possible chunk of gneiss. Reducing it all the way to 1 or 0 will make the boulder liftable.
If you just need to get rid of boulder as fast as possible, you can simply turn it into runestone or quern even if its unliftably large. In my personal opinion you waste stone this way but it doesn't really matter if the area you live in has plenty of boulders of the same type.

Press SHIFT+i once, you'll see a message saying that "resource info on shift/ctrl+shift is now turned on". You get objects info by mouse-over-ing things with SHIFT and you can check ground tiles (i.e. what's that peculiar color of mine tile means or how is this particular land biome called) with ctrl+shift.
"Reading notes to custom client is your friend". A lot of not-so-obvious but extremely useful hotkeys listed there.

I have lifted it at the second smallest also. Should be a way to roll the big boulders or something, though. They can be in the way quite easily.
