does anybody fish?

Postby joojoo1975 » Thu May 12, 2016 5:32 pm

tried my hand at fishing today and I was less than pleased with the outcome. so if you have any tips or could answer a question or two, I would really appreciate it!

is there any way to not get non fish items(like does Q play a part in this? or survival?)

is there any way to speed up the catch time? the average for me is like 2-3 hourglasses before I get something.

Thank you again for any info you are able to provide.

Nothing to do here, sometimes you will fish the junk others have thrown.

Subscribing or verify account, it might still take 3 hourglasses to catch something, but the hourglass will be a lot faster.
Casually playing since W2.

Note that you only get junk when you wouldn't have gotten a fish, so the total chance is 100% = N% + J% + F%, n=nothing, j=junk, f=fish.

Try a different spot or different bait. Any insect, worms, bloated leeches (have to be bloated now... think we've requested this be changed), or guts. Note even silk moths work, so if you're trying to save for starting a silk farm, be sure to make a wicker basket or something to dump them in or take them home first. Same with your curio ants.

I've found different areas tend to have more of certain fish. I was fishing for like an hour at one deep lake and got a little bit of everything, but I moved to another deep lake and I got 70% perch. It may have been time of day but I've been catching mostly perch from that specific area for 3 fishing trips so far.
