Satiations... how do they work?

Postby Twist » Thu May 12, 2016 9:27 pm

I haven't yet really found enough information on how the food satiations work.

On 1 Character I have only 4 or 5 satiations, on another the whole list. And on the second character the lowest satiations never seem to reset ?
Shouldn't the lowest satiation reset after gaining an attribute point ?

Both are fairly new characters, so no access to fancy drinks or such, just good old foraging, small game hunting, some bigger game hunting. Oh and of course some fishing.

I have this same issue, I think they use to reset after each level up (Last World) but they no longer do.

The online guides and Wiki doesn't show/explain how it works now and so I'm in the dark also.

My foraging satiation reset after last eating it seems.

In another thread there is talk about needing 4 satiations below 50%, and then the lowest will reset after gaining an attribute point. If that is the case it does seem rather harsh on newish characters.

Rather than remove some amount of Food Satiations every time you level up, we now instead remove only the most satiated type as soon as you have 4 satiation types below 50% -- i.e. you may only ever have 3 types satiated below 50%, and as soon as you get your fourth type below 50%, the most satiated type is cleared entirely. Loftar and I have both been playing with this alternative regime for some time, and have found it more interesting. Rather than quickly cleaning out all satiations and effectively never having any, you now instead generally speaking will build and have a more ongoing list of satiations targeting various food groups to manage, which will hopefully make it more relevant to consider the satiations, and perhaps also somewhat reduce the effectiveness of spamming strategies.

maybe that's why, the three most common things I eat are below 50% (one is 16%) but because I don't have a fourth below 50%, that 16% just hangs out there forever..

You will also want to keep considering this one as well.
