Does the Survey Pole dissapear?

I was doing a surveiance and then my friend built a house ontop of the flag. Now I try to survey that area and it tells me the area is already being surveyed. It's been a while now, do you guys know if the pole dissapears, or if I'll have to break the house to remove it, or if someone in Haven support can help me.

i thought they disappeared with server restarts but if its been there since like tuesday then it might just be bugged because I doubt youd see the survey flag even if you destroyed the house

It's supposed to decay after a few days of not being interacted with. I'd have to dig to get an exact time. This has come up before when walls and other items that can't be moved have been built on the flag.

I believe they only last for 3 days
