best way to get straw/wheat seeds

well been in the game now for like a week, base coming along fine. and my explore is going up up up, especially now I understand the gild system a bit better.

still having a hard time though with finding some wheat/seeds so I can begin my other ventures(mainly the straw and flour)

was wondering if the WWW are a random chance or are they influenced by surrounding established settlements. I have settled in a quazi ghost town area. there be like 5+ settlements but they "appear" abandoned. yet their P claim has not become ineffective, so they have had to log on At least in the last month or two. no ideas. But any ideas or tips you can think on securing some wheat/ would be much appreciated.

it's barley
and www are generally really random based on location, either by grid or by biome but most just travel in a straight line in search of www to get them

if you know where you are on the world map then some people will usually trade/help you

Seeds are the same in small areas, so if you are only picking them in one spot, there are only a few crops you will get. In order to find them all, just travel far and wide, picking all the wwws you see.

If you find it hard to find seeds, seek out the closest village and ask if you could have some seeds.

It took me forever to find barley seeds, and I dried at least 60 WWW from various expeditions in all directions from my base. I did eventually find some though. Majority of my WWW have been grapes and peapods

prolly too paranoid to do that, if I actually seen anybody. since I started, I haven't seen a soul as of yet.

Some people you meet are actually quite nice, while others are not.
My suggestion is to not let terrorists dictate your behavior, since then they would win.

Won't those "terrorists" win by default if he gets killed wandering around villages and asking for barley?
It's not "paranoia" if the danger is real.

Also, you're better off talking to someone on the forum first and then getting the seeds you need from them (most likely as an act of good will or in exchange for something simple like bluberries).

Agree to both. Raider in Haven do not do ''terrorism'' because they do not want to modify your action by using fear tactic. They just want to kill you. They will win if they can kill you.

I think many people can give you some barley. This is not a very value item.
