No more LP?

Postby Yuukki » Tue May 17, 2016 5:22 pm

I've been getting skills and learning... I got farming, found a bunch of crops picked one of each, got fishing and am fishing currently for more fish types, got stone working (probably a waste? Didn't really get an LP back from it) and lumber jack and carpentry and hunting.

I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out what exactly I should be doing. I went foraging, built a clothing set (slotted it with exploration & survival)

I also got will of something (for basic combat skills). I'm a bit lost on gaining more LP. Just started yesterday, tried to follow sevenless guide but I'm out of LP and not sure how to get more.

can u make cone cows?

they are some of the fastest ways of getting LP as they pop in bout 15ish minutes

also mirkwood offering, they pop in a half hour. and as long as you are playing the game, you shouldn't run out of exp points either starting off.

a list of curios

one of the first things you should do is pump that lp into explor and try to eat perception food. starting off most of your LP will prolly come from foragable curios.

also the curios you got in there also tell of how long u got left till they pop.

the dandelion got 28 more minutes and the dragonfly has 16 more minutes but that cats gold has 18 hours and 12 minutes.

if I was you I would ditch the cats gold and focus on cone cows and then mirkwood offerings

i can make them, i cant make mirkwood offerings for some reason... the guide said butchering something + chopping a rotten log all the way to the ground will unlock it but I don't have the option to make it. Oh I see... I made a mistake I thought learning points for abilities and learning points for skill swere different... I see now.

What about an itsy bitsy spider?

Itsy Bitsy Spider and the Itsy Bitsy's Web are some of the best curios you can get early game.

they good for like when you need to log for work/school or right before you goto bed

here is my method of curios and lp

if I will be on for an hour or two and wont be back on till like 8+ hours.

then I tend to go for the bigger curios. Feather duster, primitive doll, But in the very least right before I log I have my study box filled to the brim. for you that means u want enough curios to equal 11 mental weight points.

if I am playing all day long, then its cone cows, feather trinkets, mirkwood offerings and seer's bones plus wishbones and dandelions to fill in and make sure I am maxxed out.

basically look as that you got and see what combo gives you best overall LP gains VS. LP per hour when you plan to play all day etc.

I have thrown away many web and spider because I could out pace em early game because my intelligence wasn't all that high(17 when I was beginning)

Aaah I see... I'll keep that in mind. What about for purity and stuff? Like how do I make items higher purity? The guide seemed to imply that the nettle outfit alone will give you survival without gilding anything to it.

The guide is slightly outdated, mind. Gilding is a new thing, as are a few others. Take most things in the guide with a grain of salt and ask questions/search for more recent information on the subject.

as in game it will tell you what stats/skills make crafted items higher quality(more pure)

for instance, if you want to aquire higher quality fragable curios, your survival will have to be higher and higher. survival caps what you pick up on the ground(like dandelions) it also affects the quality you get branches and cones(conecows) now survival will not make items go above their quality level. meaning if you have 15 survival and the tree you are getting branches is all 10 10 10 qualitys then you will not get a branch or cone over 10 10 10

for crafting the game shows you again what is used when quality is encountered. for instance making a still life that takes into account your exploration and psych numbers respectively.

I don't bother with mirkwoods. You run out of experience too fast.

Your main problem is attention. Get more int so you can study more stuff in parallel. Blueberries are good, yelowfeet are decent, and there's several fish that are really good. Fox meat is great if you run into a dead fox.
