Mining

Postby Deaky04 » Thu May 26, 2016 11:41 pm

Ok so, whenever I try mining the same area I mined from before it resets. I cant get any ore because my stone axe cant get ore in one go. Is this supposed to happen? Thanks!

that just means that you are not strong enough. get more strength or make a better quality stone axe. keep at it newbie, the game is a lot of fun!

As long as you see the hourglass you're successfully working on the tile. You won't get ore (or stone, depending on the tile) every cycle though.

And natural cave walls (the ones initially there) don't give ore (or stone), you have to break through them to get to the stuff behind them.

The hour glass needs to drain a lot of times to break a cave wall. Just keep hammering the same one and drinking.

One way to keep track of the exact position is to pave the tile you stand on when hammering on the tile, so should you have to leave to eat some or get water you continue on the tile that is already damaged. In case you leave you should return before the map unloads, it might be that the damage to the tile isn't saved (I'm not sure about it since I don't have access to the code, but my gut feeling is that it's very likely).
