wrecking ball and other questions

Hi, i have a few other questions :

1) I placed my wrecking ball on an abondoned claim (shield still up tho) versus the personal claim totem and waited the usual ingame 3 days to use it.
Then when i could i started wrecking the thing, and it did a solid 44 damage every swing for a few minutes. And then the damage went down slowly, 30..20...5..1....and then only zero's.
The claim shield went down from 60k but was now stuck at 55000. What is happening here?

2) Does using beehives also influence the growth/fruit cicle of trees (i know its supposed to be for crop growing..)?

3) if i find bat guano with 26/20/20 stats, is that still better than regular soil with say 30/30/30 ?

According to Jorb, Shields can take up to 5000HP damage per hour, with diminishing returns kicking in after 2000HP damage.

AFAIK, beehives have no effect on trees.

no.

Bat guano can commonly go to quite high qualities making it better than dirt, low quality guano is only useful as a gilding.

no.

Bat guano can commonly go to quite high qualities making it better than dirt, low quality guano is only useful as a gilding.

This guano is gilding? What is attribute?
