In advance, sorry for not looking if a similar thread already exists, as navigating through this forum is still a pain in the brown starfish for me.

I'm an oldie, back in the full free to play days, but when H&H changed to time-limited gameplay per month, I was discouraged to play, and well, at that point, also no money to keep on playing with a subscription.

I checked the store just now as I came back, and I see no more time limitations as to how many hours one can play on a free account anymore, just max stats/speed of actions stuff.

Are the hour limitations gone? Can I come back as a free player and play as much as I want now, only that my character will develop slower, and do actions slower than others?
The game was absolute kickass so I'd really want to come back and give it a shot, see what's new, and probably if I get back into it, turn my account into a subscription for sure, as now it's affordable for me finally.

Definitely no time limitations anymore. 'Some' people will develop, craft faster and have a higher stat cap, that's all.

Is there any newbie guide as to how to start out now, since I see plenty of things have changed. If so, I'd be glad to get redirected there by a link.

Could you like do a short recap of what that is? Gilding, satiations? How do they affect gameplay?

Yeah but I don't think there is any 100% up-to-date guide, so the best thing would be to read this guide plus like the 5-10 last patch notes

Satiations will reduce the impact of the food, gilding can be added to some of your equipment for bonuses.

He did a lot of work though, can't blame him on that guide

Got an issue I came across, just wondering... How do I sleep now? When I log out, what happens? Am I still sleeping? Where am I sleeping, since I saw no beds to be able to put in a leanto anymore? I just started out, so an actual bed is out of question for me.
