Good Curiosities

Postby Darbly » Sun Jun 12, 2016 2:03 am

I would like to know what some good curiosities were based on LP and time.
If you could help me out with this that would be great.

A real good one IMO is the worm eaten apple. Not sure how rare it is but you can get it instead of a normal apple from an apple tree randomly. It takes 11 hours and has a mental weight of 5, and a good payout of 2,500 base LP.

This is a moving target. Your skills, your attributes, and quality of materials you can get are a huge factor in what's good. There's a listing of all curios maintained by several players on Google docs: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=42419

and on the RoB wiki: http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Curiosity_Table

The amount of time your on and offline is a huge factor. If you're on four hours and off 20, then a curio that is done an hour after you log off probably isn't as good as one that finishes an hour before you log back in.

I'm usually on for a long time (6-9) and I'm fine with curios that take a couple of days. I just want opinions on what people most prefer.
Keep on keeping on.

Not that huge now when we have study desk.

Check the date of the reply. Not sure why this thread was necro'd. But you bring up a good point. That is old, outdated information that was only useful before the study desks. Now, if you can afford it, load the desk up with the best LP/hour curios you can get your hands on. Why should the auto-study bots get advantages?

edit: will note that until you can get a study desk, best to be conscientious of study times if you're going to be offline a length of time. That early in the game it's not likely to matter, but if it's between putting in a cone cow before logging off for the day or an aurochs hair, better to use the hair.
