I believe this is an urban legend. Does any conclusive proof of this exists (except "i put those on and caught a rabbit easier", 'cause, you know, rabbits do have their speed fluctuating)?

Click past rabbit with slipper on, notice speed. Click on rabbit and you go faster. I believe it is true.

Did all sorts of elaborate checks a month or two ago. Slippers or not, there was no difference. Was it changed in some latest update?
