I think you inspect it and it will tell you how many days till resources respawn. be there then and if noone else has taken it u right click and collect iirc.

Or really bad. Depends on what you apply, dialectics or logic.

If we apply common sense, however, we won't be able to deny that a 14-day cooldown on an obviously not-depleted bubbling clay pit (judging from provided screenshot) is, indeed, sucky.

@Nikixos - did you try to right-click it before inspecting?
