Fishing

I know Its probably something really simple but I cant figure out how to fish!
Ive got a Bushcraft Fishing Pole, Spindly taproot, A bone hook and a earthworm. I dont know what Im doing wrong but it keeps saying: You need a fully equipped fishing pole to fish

Please help, Thanks.

Did you equip it or have it in your inventory? Did you even attach all components to themselves? Did you try to fish by using adventure > fish?
