any ways to make catching fish faster?

I don't know if the survival skill or possibly the pole/hook/bait quality matters

Good fishing spot (more of them jumping) seemed to be faster than a bad one (less fish jumping).

Changing node until you find one fast enough, yeah two or more nodes seem to give more fishes, i get around 10 every 20-30 mins

Using the "right bait" at the "right time of day" and on the "right moon cycle" seems to help*. Problem is fish seem to be in nodes like ores now, so you can't expect to catch same fish one screen over.

*Pretty much how it was in legacy. At least, feels this way to me. No definitive proof yet.

don't know, in legacy the quantity was excellent, I had no problem filling a LC or 2 with some leeches. now the right kind of bait and the right time was a different matter.


just seems to me the fishing overall is a Lot slower

Aye, it is a lot slower. I've noticed you can go quite a bit without catching a fish on one bait, switch baits and you start landing them fairly frequently. There are no ways of speeding up the cycle, though.
