For the farmer should create an alt specifically for farming or just have a farming suit? I have the food and curios to get the alt good, but idk what to do about it

I recommend making an alt if you have the resources to get him up to snuff and then recommend you use either heartwood leaves or feather trinkets for equiptment gilds.

Since you can not receive Item Bonus stats that are exceed your skill, I'd say you should make an alt dedicated solely for farming, and equip that alt with top-gilded farming suit.

If you have a +150 farming suit, and your main character have 20 farming, you won't get higher than 20+20=40 farming. You'll have to get your character's farming to 150+ to receive a full suit's bonus.

Is the issue that you don't know if u want to make an alt? because the post and the headline are sort of conflicting to me.

If u don't intend to die and aren't bothered with rushing for 330 ua/mc then keeping it on one char is fine.
If u are going to die at some point, likely, then a separate farming alt i very useful as it means u lose less when dying.
