How come my house disappeared?

Now I have been playing for a fair amount of time and i was not-so pleasantly surprised when i found out that my timber house had disappeared, but the contents that were in my house (My storage, table, chair, etc.) were still there on the grass. If anyone can tell me how to get it back that would be very nice.

Was your house on a claimed land or inside a cave? If not, it probably decayed, and you didn't catch it in time to repair.

Thanks for replying again man. My house was in unclaimed land it was not in a cave, but i find it odd that it would decay because i had only had it 3 days.

Some player could have broken it. 7000hp and 7 soak is relatively big effort but with people being A) statcapped B) having alts to do dirty work C) bored it's not that unprecedented that somebody took their time just to ruin OP's day.

One topic I recall gave tip that you shouldn't build anything important before you can set up claim. That doesn't stop people with vandalism alts but will make them think twice before leaving unnecessary scents.

I find this highly unlikely. If someone took time and effort to demolish a house, they would at least destroyed the containers as well, they take, like, 2 hits each.
