How good are slings?

better than nothing but not as good as a bow(a good wep to start out with if your hunting rabbits and squirrels and you don't wanna chase em down)

the prob with a sling is that you usually cannot kill it on the first throw or two, and the creature ends up running away.

I guess you could get a better and better sling, but by that time, you should be able to make a descent bow.

No sling of mine were any different, no matter the quality. Maybe if a sling is 200+ it can be of some use. As for now it's just a toy to have some mild entertainment

I used them early world when strings were hard to find and bows low q, I could just dug the mountain and get unlimited stones.

a long time ago i used sling and it dealt like 5 damage xd but i dont like ranged weapons anyway
