Wild Horse in my gates..

So, I left my friends/my (we both have weird schedules, so we decided one place for us both would be suitable) gate open while I went to a neighbor of ours place for a bit and I come back to find this guy inside...me being opportunistic, I trapped him in.
Will he starve to death in here?
I don't plan on letting him out..
(He's currently just roaming around the inside)

I can't kill him, I don't have that great of skills/equipment to do it yet. Also cannot tame.

Edit: Thought of another question, would he de-spawn?

As soon as you let the map grid unload (~every 15 mins if there are no players nearby map tiles unload and all animals, forage etc. despawns/refreshes).

.. I wondered why it was called 'wild horse' ... I see the horse now ... .... because your alt is coloured red I just assumed it was an enemy and that was what you were talking about ...

^^ - Well as this is a game and not rl and the majority do use red for their enemies or suspect unknowns, it was a pretty natural assumption even if the wrong one ... I didn't even see the horse ... Lol.
