Pregnant horse no longer pregnant, missing foal

Postby nobunny » Thu Jul 07, 2016 1:22 am

So I was given a horse with foal. She has a pen and a nice full trough inside it. She was pregnant last night, but this morning she is not, and there is no foal in her pen. What happened? Her pen is fairly small (7x6), could it have glitched if she tried to birth on an occupied tile? Could she have birthed the foal during the five minutes I rode her today and I left it behind? I'm so sad thinking about this poor baby foal in the wilderness that I'm even out looking for it. Can animals randomly lose their pregnancy?

It's very possible that the baby somehow spawned outside of the pen and is wandering around in your base somewhere. If your pen is right next to the wall, it could have also spawned outside.

There's no palisade here so if it did spawn outside the pen, it could have easily wandered off I guess. I circled outwards from the camp for an hour and couldn't find it. Poor baby :'(

Vagina catapult does not work anymore. But if hole in the fence closed by some pile/log or other object (especially village flag) animal might easy wander out of pen.

thank you so much for making the connection Amanda!! I guess the baby was born while I was out riding, or somehow got out of the pen. The former seems more likely since I'm pretty diligent about closing the gate. thanks again!!!!

^^ You're so welcome!

I was worried about the foal too out there all alone in the wilderness, lol, so a what a lovely ending ... mother and baby reunited! :D

Nice work SomeoneStoleMyBread. :)

Fun story.
