Transplanted Teabush Issues

Postby Kyoske » Thu Jul 07, 2016 1:32 am

Hey, so I found a teabush in the wild, I can only assume it is wild because I am unable to inspect it, but over the course of about 2 weeks (or more) it has yet to regrow back its seedpods or leaves. Is this normal happenstance where wild grown bushes get stunted or if you replant them on a grassy biome they stop growing?

from my little experience with tea bushes, they have one set of items. after that I think it's kuput.

if they are wild you may catch a break as I believe a degrade action(a game mechanic that happens naturally) may reset the bush's contents.

From what I've read from those that have large shrub farms, they will regrow, but as it is based on the decay mechanic much like trees, it's an extraordinary amount of luck in getting a shrub to resprout. You're better just growing a new one and chopping the old one down.

Does the game even track what trees or shrubs are cultivated and what are native?

You can't inspect native trees at least.

In case you need seeds but only have a picked clean bush the best way to go is to plant it in an area that is loaded as often and long as possible since decay is only applied to active map tiles.
