How do I appoint chieftan as lawspeaker?

How would a lawspeaker appoint chieftan? I can't find a button on govt tab or when right-clicking my pal.

I think chieftain is not in game at present, but this could be wrong.

I can already build chief statues, the problem is actually being chief so I can appoint higher roles and stuff.

"Chieftain" role is removed at the moment, as all other village "roles" aside from Lawspeaker.

There is a way to set those permissions though as the lawspeaker for other members of your village to be able to place statues, banners and the like. I've not actually messed around with any of that myself but I think it has to do with setting a colour to allow for those permissions and assigning that colour to the villager.

Look at the village interface in kin/village window (bottom right button), you can bind rights to color groups and assign them to your villagers.
Only difference to normal villagers: lawspeaker always has all rights so he can't lock himself out of being able to manage them by accident.
