Dead body in house --> clothes stuck in black space

My friend died near my house, so I kept his body in my house until I could contact him.

I didnt know it would happen, but his clothes dropped and scattered on the floor about half a day later. Unfortunately, he was in the corner of my house so now his clothes are in the black space. Is there any way i can retrieve them? :/

I moved the body over thinking I might be able to right click them lol

your gear is lost. You had to plunder the corps before it will rot away. You probably have to post it to bugs since some hermit might loose master key this way for example.

Does blowing the house up work? Used to be the way to get things out if you really wanted them more than the building.

It's a known issue. It's not getting fixed any time soon, even if it's a master key.

Good that you mention it. I haven't tried it, but i live in a vastly decaying area. And since the cupboards of decayed houses look like in old worlds it probably works.

- But: How would you destroy it? Especially on low tech level like the op seems to be? Clothes would be decayed before any wrecking ball would be ready, wouldn't it?

For after the fact, yes, these items would decay before you could set a wrecking ball. Some of the smaller houses with lower soak values could potentially be destroyed by hand if the player had a sledgehammer and high enough STR. I was mostly mentioning it in case anyone gets boats or chests stuck there that may have more value with the contents than the expense of building the structure.
