[Newbie Questions] Death, now what?

Postby hery76 » Mon Jul 18, 2016 9:53 pm

Hey guys, so i had my first encounter with a troll on L4 and without a shield+sword i died after having no sprint left :'(

I've read some old dated topics and wiki but still feeling lost.

What should i do now? will the troll despawn?

since the body is in a cave (and i can get there) what is the next move? get the gear, inv and bury it? is this toon getting a percentage of the LP, skills and stuff i had?

Thank you,
loonatic

Trolls do not despawn if I recall right. I haven't encountered one since they were reimplemented, though, so trying to go from memory here.

You do get a part of your stats and LP back. You get more if you can get your skeleton and even more if you can bury the skull with it (note it's worth more to bury the skull than to use it unless you feel a need to make a throne or mug with it).

Maybe someone in the area will want the troll and will come and kill it for you so you can get the body and continue mining and such in the area.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

But to get those stats and lp back i need to create a toon after i died? :s

i think i had my shares with mining, back to sericulture 24/7 xb

EDIT: Ok we have to create and inherit after the death. Thank you o/

I'm pretty sure killing trolls is made easy by making a couple dozen alts with some marksmanship, archery and bows. Although don't take my word for it, never done it.
Total misplay.

It's do-able but it takes awhile and it's a real hassle to spawn the alts since you can't inherit a character that dies before 8 hours after it spawned. If you have a charter that makes it easier to spawn alts but otherwise you're stuck building tons of wilderness beacons to do it.

Yes, I have do this before. I do not think I will call it ''easy,'' but any one could do it.

I think that learned skill is refunded as LP and given back in inheriting (at reduced rates). So I think yes.
