boughs and others

Postby Shyruban » Sun Jul 24, 2016 6:57 am

Hi
I'm getting ahead ok in the game now, just opened a mine hole...
My question is, I never find any bough higher than Q10 , do I really need to plant trees to get some?
I find that kind of silly. Right now I'm stopped by that as there are many metal tools and others that require decent boughs and because of that all i get is crap tools , same with bow.
Thanx

You can find some slightly higher. But yeah for the most part you're gonna have to plant trees, just invite somebody to come help you, make a small village, most good villages have druids (treemakers, farmers, crafting) in them.

My area is pretty deserted, I made a couple high lvl player friends, but they both live quite far and have helped me quite a bit, so i don't want to push it :)
I love the game but really, some stuff is really stupid, like if your survival skills are very good, one would be able to spot decent boughs in a forest,
same as ,come on, if you can craft high end metal tools and decent smelter, surely you would have found a better way to make fire than rubbing 2 sticks together hehe.
Portable and reusable fire source was invented way way before the wheel in most civilizations :)

No all boughs are Q10, there are no ''slightly higher Q ones, unless you happened to find some planted by someone.

Some people just plant the first generation outside. But yeah, it is easier to plant your own trees than find those people.
