About Tea

Postby Shyruban » Mon Jul 25, 2016 9:34 pm

I'm sure there are posts on here about tea, but unfortunately the search function won't let you search for words that have less than 4 letters.
I read the wiki about tea, so according to it, if I want tea to drink as I mine or do other stuff, I will have to carry a stupid teapot and a mug?
So I really can't put the tea in my waterskin?

Tea can be put in any other container (a barrel, a bucket, a waterskin or even a kuksa etc). An empty Teapot is required to craft it; a mug is the "preferred vessel" for tea, meaning that if you drink tea from a mug it have slightly increased beneficial effect on your satiations. Other than that, you can freely drink tea from any container just like water (do note that your character will not stop drinking tea automatically upon reaching 100% stamina; you have to cancel drinking manually or your toon will chug the whole container).

You can also fill mug from waterskin. So you can carry mug and container as regular, then just drinking from mug.

Ok thanx :)
Hm, I can't craft a teapot yet, no idea how to get the recipe for it.
So you have to brew tea in a teapot but after it can be transferred into any container, good.

You need to discover tea leaf to make teapot. I think it must be the dry tea leaf to discover (black).

Doesn't matter for crafting tea if the Fresh Tea Leaves are dried to Green Tea Leaves (fast) or Black Tea Leaves (takes a while). The only difference is that by drying the leaves twise on a herbalist's table you get quality of leaves affected by the table twise as well (for better or for worse).

Is this true for Hafen or legacy?

It is true for Hafen for sure. I don't remember much about legacy. Might as well apply there too.

Hmm, ok. I do not remember it as this, but I only do this one once some time ago. Either way, I mean you must have some leaf you can make into tea to make the pot.

It does apply on legacy just as well. Was quite nice to get highq tea just by the fact one got the old herb table of the village's silk maker.
