Murdered - Justice?

Someone just came onto our farm, killed us, slaughtered our taming animals and freed/killed the rest. I'm assuming we're not going to get much sympathy because we didn't put up a palisade but we were planning on moving to a place we could palisade (we were on steep ground). We didn't have anything he could possibly want, considering how powerful and geared he is. Sigh. Caught us right before the move.

He had a swastika on his shield. He's chopping up our bodies. More of them arriving. Is this a raiding faction?

I've never died before, what can I do? Can't you summon a character for murder? He put our corpses on top of a tower riddled with dead bodies so I guess this is something that they do, and even if we did summon them, we couldn't go against this person since they one-shotted us.

Probably going to quit the game for a while now. They destroyed everything we had and I am pretty bummed about it. :'(

Next time just make a pali, even a small one, before anything serious.

Best suggestion is to post your story in The Moot seeking justice. Someone might be willing to come investigate just for something to do, or might want something reasonable in return. It can be hard to say sometimes.

It is a given that anywhere on the Internet that you can upload images, you will get swastikas. It is not a novel concept.

Also, yes people will kill you in haven for no particular reason. It is the reason why everyone is so paranoid.

Hey nobunny ... sorry to hear what happened ... ... as others have said a pali is an absolute priority before builds and taming, but you live and learn.

If you decide to regroup and begin somewhere else create a new character and inherit. You will spawn on your previous character's hearth fire and get some attributes and skills back, I think ... I've not died this world (yet ... better not tempt fate, lol) and I forget tbh. The new quest system will be helpful in recovering some lp I would imagine.
