Subtle combat shifts

Postby Linksfire1 » Sat Aug 06, 2016 7:47 am

I'm trying to determine what the new mu symbol I keep seeing as a modifier on the melee moves is. I don't remember it being there a month or so ago and want to know what that modifier stands for. For example, under the shield up block weight, the formula reads melee * 3 * mu. Anyone know?

shied up = 3 times melee combat = that means that for example i hit you with sting and have 300 mc and etc it will block it somewhere between that from what i know , so it's basicly the stregth of the defence

Nope, the "mu" symbol stands for something not implemented to live server yet (and thought to be discarded altogether).

Perfect, that post reference was EXACTLY what I needed. I'm excited for the new combat update.
People say that I'm a coward for the way I hunt from a boat. Those same people ask me for leather and boar tusks all the time.

Sorry to partially burst your bubble here, but that was June 7th, and in the next few weeks the "new, improved" combat system on the test server got a lot of criticizm (sadly, very sound at that); so, on July 18th:

"Something else entirely" appears to be the latest (July 27th) Quests and Hearth Magic update. Soo, yeah, I'm not sure if there's anything going on in terms of changing combat system right now, and the "mu" in skills description may very well be a typo devs forgot to remove. :?

Prolly worth making a thread in "bugs" section about this issue, combat is misleading and counter-intuitive as is, even without unnecessary symbols in descriptions.
