Farming stuff early

So when we moved into our settlement we planted some barley, and some pumpkins, the barley is at stage 2, and we could also use the seeds that the barley is made up of. Is there a way to harvest the barley early? Right clicking it doesn't seem to do anything, and I can't find an action anywhere.

No. However some plants can be harvested in different stages.
If you wish for your plants to grow faster, get a beehive. Another upside of Beehives are honey and wax, which are useful for Sweet Beets, Honeybuns, and Wax is good for the Hardened Leather a palistade needs.

Can confirm.
Barley and flax are most annoying crops in beginning. Because
1. barley takes so long to grow and if you have only small amount of seeds you dont have flours or straw
2. You need lots of string, but if you only have 10 crops of flax no way getting string easily
