How Do You Make a Crude Idol?

The wiki says you need stoneworking and hearth magic, and I just fished up some feldspar while using gneiss and clay before, but it's still not in my curiosities menu under rites and rituals.

Sounds like you have everything you need so idk, try mining or chipping some feldspar stone instead you may have not gotten the discovery for it through fishing.

Yeah, I'm 99% sure that fishing up a discarded item doesn't provide the discovery.

However I recall getting discovery when gathering stuff from beach trash.
